Rules
1.00 Rosters
1.10 Roster Lock-In
Team rosters are locked in at the start of each season. Once the season officially begins, only the players listed on a team's roster at that time are eligible to compete in any regular season or playoff match. No roster changes are permitted after the season starts.
Roster lock-in is enforced at the Riot API level. When a custom lobby is created for a match, only Riot IDs registered on the team's locked roster will be permitted to enter. Any player whose Riot ID is not on the roster will be unable to join the lobby.
1.20 Roster Size
A roster must contain at least 5 players. Teams that fall below this minimum will not receive a match schedule for the season and are not eligible to participate until the roster requirement is met.
A roster may contain up to 7 players. Any player on the roster is eligible to play in any given matchup — teams are free to field whichever combination of their rostered players they choose from week to week.
1.30 One Team Per Season
A player may only be rostered on one team per season. A Riot account that is already registered to a team's locked roster cannot be added to any other team for the duration of that season.
2.00 Match Rules
2.10 Tournament Lobby
A unique custom lobby is generated for each matchup, including both regular season and playoff matches. Each lobby is protected by an auto-generated password. Teams should not share the lobby code or password outside of their rostered players, as doing so could allow unauthorized individuals to attempt to join the match.
All matches are played on Summoner's Rift using the Draft Pick game mode.
Spectating is allowed in the custom lobby.
2.20 Playing Ahead
Teams are permitted to play ahead of the current week during both the regular season and playoffs. If both teams are ready and willing, they may complete a matchup from the next upcoming week before it officially begins. The same applies during playoffs — teams may complete a round early if both sides agree.
However, weeks and playoff rounds cannot be skipped. All matches must still occur in sequential order — a team cannot play a future week's match until all prior weeks have been completed, and a playoff round cannot be played until the preceding round is finished.
3.00 Forfeiture
3.10 Automatic Forfeiture
Each regular season week has a set end date. When that date passes, the week is automatically marked as completed. Any team that did not play their matchup before the deadline will receive an automatic forfeit loss for that week.
The same applies to playoff rounds — each round has a set end date, and if a match is not played before the deadline, both teams are eliminated from the bracket.
An audit and appeal process is available for automatic forfeitures. If your team was present and ready to play but your opponent did not show, you may appeal the result. If the appeal is upheld, the win will be awarded to the team that showed up. Evidence considered during an audit may include lobby events retrieved from the Riot API, as well as any supporting materials provided by the appealing team, such as screenshots, stream VODs, or other documentation.
If neither team appeals a playoff forfeiture, the opposing teams in subsequent rounds will receive byes and advance automatically without playing a match.
3.20 Manual Forfeiture
A team manager may manually forfeit a regular season week or playoff round at any time. Forfeiting a regular season week results in a loss for the forfeiting team and a win for their opponent. Forfeiting a playoff round results in elimination from the playoff and awards the round victory to the opposing team.
4.00 Playoffs
4.10 Seeding Tiebreakers
When two or more teams finish the regular season with identical win-loss records, playoff seeding is determined by average gold per minute (GPM) across all matches won during the regular season. The team with the higher average winner GPM receives the better seed.
Because GPM is averaged over game duration rather than measured as a raw total, game length is not a factor — a dominant win in a short game is weighted the same as one in a long game.
5.00 Conduct
5.10 Team and Player Logos
Teams and players may upload custom logos to represent themselves in the league. Logos containing illegal content will not be permitted and are subject to removal.
